1 Time - which can be affected by developer level (leaks or inadequate replenishment), worn transport bearings, broken gears, defective motor, defective motor controller, slipping main drive gear, or settings altered.
2 Temperature - can be affected by poor circulation, a failed heater, or settings altered.
3 Replenishment Rate - lines can have air locks, hoses can be kinked, replenishment tanks can be dry, or settings altered.
4 Chemistry Dilution - inaccurate measurement or cross contamination. This is one of many justifications for the Automatic Chemical Mixing System.
5 Developer & Fixer Circulation - most common problem with older processors: the pumps wear out, dirt or small pieces of film or artifacts impede re-circulation pump impellers or clog the re-circulation system lines & filters. Not changing the developer filter at least once per month can alter the circulation

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE: NGS recommends regular preventative maintenance on both the photoplotter and film processor. NGS can provide maintenance schedules for the film processor, and can recommend cleaning procedures to eliminate pinholes created by loose particulates in the photoplotter. It is necessary to have a transmission film densitometer and a microscope (minimum 60X Magnification) for the IQM system.

Specific Gravity Mixing System. A design for any film processing application that virtually eliminates inconsistency in Chemistry Management. Auto puncturing feature for safety to prevent chemistry spill or splash back.
